Hot Tub Operator / Grounds Person

Job Description

Ashlin Farm Barns is seeking a Hot Tub Technician to work alongside a team of grounds people. They will share responsibility for the general upkeep of the outdoors facilities, but will have primary responsibility for the maintenance of the 24 Swim Spas and Hot Tubs.

Duties will include:

· Carrying out daily hot tub / swim spa checks, rectifying any issues and ensuring standards, cleanliness and safety are 5*.

· Carrying out hot tub / swim spa upkeep regularly, and performing maintenance tasks as and when required.

· Performing all required hot tub / swim spa tasks on changeover days, e.g. filter cleaning, draining and refilling.

· Assisting with general cleaning and upkeep of outdoor equipment including BBQs, tools and golf buggies.

· Assisting with any tasks required in time for guests arriving on changeover days, including emptying and replacing wheelie bins, topping up log supplies and bird feeders.

· Assisting with ground works tasks when required – lawn mowing, weeding, planting, watering, pruning, lawn edging and patio cleaning to ensure all outdoor areas are kept tidy and free of waste.

· Maintaining a high standard of presentation in exterior areas – checking outdoor showers, wiping down chrome surfaces, windowsills etc.

Person specification: The Grounds People are the welcoming and friendly face of Ashlin Farm Barns. Throughout the guests’ stay, the Grounds People will need to display discretion and consideration for our guests’ privacy and peace while carrying out their daily tasks and display a helpful and willing “can-do” attitude when assisting with guests’ queries. The Grounds People will give priority to the needs of our guests at all times and seek to contribute to the enjoyment of their stay by their attitude and actions.

Requirements:

Essentials skills for this role:

• Have a range of practical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing work requirements.
• Be a reliable and responsible person with a proactive work ethic.
• Be able to work equally well as part of our friendly team during the week, and autonomously during weekend shifts.
• Be able to reliably commute to Dunholme, specifically our site on Ashing Lane, LN2 3BY.
• Be available to work shifts on Fridays / Saturdays / Sundays / Mondays between the hours of 7:30 – 16:00

The ideal candidate for this role would:

• Have experience involving groundskeeping and/or hot tub maintenance.
• Have worked on a holiday accommodation park or large estate.

The position is zero-hours, across Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Pay: age 21 years and above – £13.00/hour, age between 18 to 20 years – £10.85/hour, age 16-17 years – £8.25
